My culture has defined me as a person.
Growing up in with a background of Kohanga reo, bilingual schools and attending a Wharekura, I have learnt valuas of culture a long the way and able to thrieve in both Te Ao Maori and the colonised world.
Mauraakau has given me deceplen. Kapa haka and sailing has taught me to work as a team player and givien me the leadership skills needed to atain the foundation title of Head boy of my Wharekura.
I am well driven, hard working and I a quick learner. Even though I have thse strengths sometimes I can be slowed down by being easily overwhelmed with other things going on around me
I sometimes find it hard to focus if I am overwhelmed.
My drive, I trust will be a great strength.
The hopes to land a caare with this sector to better my people and help give our youth the opportunity to grow in this sector as well
"Ko te taiohi, ngā Rangatira o apopo" in translation "the youth are our next chiefs"
With the current situation of covid, Our staff team has dropped and our head chef is leaving. Having leardership skills and people skills I have conviced one of our chef to step up and take the next step into becoming our new head chef
To active this I will help her in anyway I can.
